Pingtan Haitan Island is the main island of Pingtan County, the "Thousand Reef Island County". It is also the fifth largest island in the country and the largest island in Fujian. It is famous for its high-quality beach beaches and unique sea erosion landforms, and is praised by experts as Sea Erosion Landform Museum.Attractions distribution:
Haitan Island, also known as Pingtan Island, is 29 kilometers long from north to south and 19 kilometers wide from east to west. The island is often "filled with mist gas from the east", referred to as "Lan", also known as "Dong Lan", formerly known as "Haishan".Haitan Island has blue sky and white clouds, clear water and white sand. It is also famous for its sea erosion landforms. The total area of scenic spots on the island is 49 square kilometers, which is divided into Banyang Shifan, Haitan Tianshen, East China Sea Wonderland, and Nanzhai Stone Scenery. There are six scenic tourist areas including Junshan, Junshan and Jiangjunshan and two seaside resorts including Tannan Bay and Shanqiao. The area has various shapes of pictographic rocks, majestic cliffs and reefs, and endless seaside beaches.

When you arrive at Pingtan Haitan Island, you must see Shipaiyang and Haitan Tianshen. Xianrenjing is also very unique. You can rent a car to go there. In summer, you can go to the beach to play in the water. If you have enough time, you can take a day to climb the general. Mountain and Junshan, overlooking the whole island, and in the evening you can go to the night market in Pingtan County to taste local snacks.

How to get there:
Haitan Island is the largest island in Pingtan County. After arriving in Fuzhou, foreign tourists can take a bus to the island from Fuzhou South Bus Station or Shuangban Station. There are also regular shuttle buses between Fuqing and Pingtan.
Haitan Island is small in size. The main means of transportation on the island is electric tricycles. Tourists traveling on their own usually use them to shuttle between scenic spots and hotels.
