Introduction to the Baopu Taoist Temple Ruins: From April to June 2010, the Hangzhou Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology carried out an archaeological investigation of the Baopu Taoist Temple ruins. After cleaning up the lower terrace, we found house foundations, courtyard wall foundations, ash pits and other relics on the upper terrace. We also found house sites, roads, steps and drainage ditches on the lower terrace, dating from the late Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China. period (late 19th to early 20th century). Relics such as several drops of water and copper coins were also found. Although the architectural scale of the ruins discovered this time is small, it is more particular about details and pays attention to the symbolic meaning of architectural pattern and style, which reflects the characteristics of Taoist architecture.
