Introduction to Fan Gongting: There is Fan Gongting on Gushan Mountain. Fan Gong is Fan Zhongyan, a statesman, military strategist and writer in the Northern Song Dynasty. Fan Zhongyan was born in Wuxian County, Suzhou. In the third year of Emperor Renzong's reign (1049) in the Northern Song Dynasty, he went to Hangzhou to serve as magistrate of the state, serving for about one and a half years. During his tenure, he was diligent and caring for the people, and was respected and loved by the people. In 2005, Fan Gong Pavilion was built in memory of him. There is a couplet on the pavilion: "Muziling and Jingzhi's high integrity have inspired hundreds of generations of beautiful works."
