The Wuyue Ancient Road in Ningguo, Anhui is a unique and great project among local ancient buildings. It was the main passage between Wuyue (Lin'an, Hangzhou) and the Southern Tang Dynasty (Ningguo, Xuancheng) during the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period. This is the national boundary between the Southern Tang Dynasty and the Wuyue Kingdom in the Ten Kingdoms of the Late Tang, Five Dynasties and Five Dynasties. The Wuyue Ancient Trail is located in Yunshan Village, Wanjia Village, Ningguo City, southeastern Anhui Province, with a total length of about 35 kilometers. Along the way, there are major scenic spots such as the ruins of Jiao'an Ancient Temple, Jiuqu Creek, Banxian Pavilion, Honghuashu Waterfall, city walls, ancient roads, Qianqing Pass, Jigong Bed, Leli Peak, Tianchi in Western Zhejiang, and Yuli Peak, with lush plants. Mountain flowers are everywhere, and the sika deer, a national first-level protected animal, inhabits the area. Option 1: From Tianchi in western Zhejiang → Data Village in Wanjia Village. The whole journey is relatively easy and suitable for all people. Climb to the top of Qianqing Mountain → get a bird’s eye view of the vastness of Tianchi Lake, climb Qianqing Pass → listen to the howling of the wind and the roar of the deer. Then, you can take waterfalls along the valleys and streams, step on the steps of ancient trails, and enjoy leisurely walks in the forest down the mountain.
Option 2: From Data Village in Wanjia Village → Tianchi in Western Zhejiang. The whole journey is quite strenuous and is suitable for those with some hiking experience. It takes up to three hours and slowly climbs up in the mountain canyon, and finally reaches the top of the mountain to view the Tianchi Lake in Western Zhejiang and climb to the top of the mountain.
