Introduction to the ancestral hall: The Zhonglie Temple is in the architectural style of ancient ancestral temples. It is five rooms wide, with double eaves resting on the top of the mountain and surrounded by cloisters. A plaque inscribed by Chiang Kai-shek "Heyue Heroes" hangs under the upper eaves, and a plaque "Loyal Martyrs' Shrine" written by Yu Youren, a veteran of the Kuomintang, hangs on the main entrance of the donation hall.
