Introduction to Yan Fengying: Yan Fengying (1930-1968), formerly known as Yan Hongliu, was the founder of the development of Anqing Huangmei Opera, the shaper of the "Seven Fairies", and an important pioneer and contributor to the inheritance and development of Huangmei Opera in China. Mao Zedong once wrote an inscription for it "Good sons and daughters of the party." She plays Xiaodan, Huadan, Guimen Dan, and Laodan. He started studying art at the age of 12 and studied opera with Yan Yungao at the age of 13. Later, he received guidance from the famous veteran artist Ding Yongquan. In 1947, he studied Peking Opera with Hu Jintao and Liu Fengyun. In 1949, he became a teacher of Bai Yunsheng, a famous actor from Beikun. In 1953, he joined the Huangmei Drama Troupe of Anhui Province. However, just as she was flourishing, the "Cultural Revolution" struck and she was persecuted to death on April 8, 1968. She was only 38 years old.
