Introduction to the Jiang Family Ancestral Hall in Suzhuang: The Jiang Family Ancestral Hall in Suzhuang has a magnificent structure and exquisite carvings. There are built-in shrines in the ancestral hall to enshrine the tablets of ancestors. Every year on the morning of the first day of the first lunar month, descendants of the whole clan gather in the ancestral hall to pay homage to their ancestors and receive "ding cakes"; they perform operas for eight days starting from the eighth day; they welcome lanterns from the 13th to the 15th day of the lunar month; and they hold a spring festival on the sixth day of the second lunar month. This is a must-do every year. The sacrificial rituals have been passed down from generation to generation. In addition, all major clan affairs are discussed and decided by the "Lao Cheng" who is over 60 years old and the "Sven" who has achieved fame in the ancestral hall. If there is any disobedience or unfilial piety in the clan, it will be presided over by the clan leader. The ancestral hall is managed and maintained by the "chief minister" and is not allowed to be used by private individuals.
The ancestral hall has 54 pillars, a stage of more than 80 square meters in front of the hall, and a patio of 100 square meters. Most of the wood inside is maple. There are large beams and corbels on the entrance hall of the ancestral hall, which are carved with various characters and animals: such as "Tieguai Li Drinks", "Ji Gong Exorcises Demons and Conquers Demons", "Nine Lions Dance", etc. The four pillars are sawn from a camphor tree, which represents the "prosperity of the Jiang family for generations". On the left and right sides of the stage above the stage are carved "King Wen giving treasures", "Taibai is drunk", "Big Belly Arhat", and "Nezha is making waves in the sea". , "Double Phoenixes Presenting Auspiciousness" and other patterns.
