Introduction to Zhongzhuang Temple: Zhongzhuang Temple was built in memory of "Zhongzhuang Gong" Xu Weiyan. Xu Huiyan (1093-1129), courtesy name Yanyou, was born in Xi'an (today's urban area). A famous general who fought against the Jin Dynasty in the Song Dynasty. Little ambition, study hard in literature and practice martial arts. At the age of 15, he "achieved an unparalleled rank in martial arts" and became the first martial arts champion in Quzhou. From then on, he embarked on the road of protecting the frontier and the country. In the first year of Jingkang (1126), he was promoted to Wu Jinglang and was appointed as the pacifying envoy of Jinning Army (now Jiaxian County, Shaanxi Province) and Lanshi (Shizhou, now Lishi County, Shanxi Province) roadside. Soon, Qinzong ceded Hedong, Hexi and other prefectures north of the Yellow River. The soldiers and civilians were shocked and indignant. Huiyan resolutely sent his troops to regain Lin, Fu, Feng, Lan, Shi and other prefectures in Hexi. The following year, the Northern Song Dynasty was overthrown, and hundreds of thousands of folk warriors from Huiyan, Fen and Jin (both belonging to Shanxi Province) met to regain the lost territory. Huiyan fought to the death with Sun Ang, the warden of the Taiyuan Road Army and Horse Command, and killed many enemies, but was unfortunately captured. Jin Shuai Lousu ordered Huizong's cronies to persuade him to surrender, but Huiyan sternly rebuked him. The Jin man knew that he could not be surrendered, so he shot him. Huiyan's words are loyal and heroic, and are powerful throughout the country. Emperor Gaozong sighed: "Xu Huiyan served his country to death and sealed the territory. He was unyielding in the face of difficulties and was loyal to the sun and the moon. He was far beyond Yan Zhenqing and Duan Xiushi. If you don't favor him, how can you persuade him to be loyal and show his loyalty in the future." He was posthumously awarded the posthumous title of Zhongzhuang as the Observer of Jinzhou. Presented to Changhua Army Jiedu. Today, there is the Xu Zhongzhuang Gong Temple in the stone chamber of Qu County. There is an inscription by Zhu Xi, "loyalty to the sun and the moon."
