Introduction to the fifth cave: The fifth and sixth caves are a set of double caves excavated from about 465 to 494 before Emperor Xiaowen moved to Luo. There are five four-story pavilions in front of the two caves. The existing buildings were rebuilt in the eighth year of Shunzhi in the early Qing Dynasty (1651 AD). The fifth cave is divided into front and rear chambers. The main statue on the north wall of the back chamber is the Third Buddha. The central seated statue is 17 meters high and is the largest Buddha statue in Yungang Grottoes. The four walls of the cave are full of carved niches and Buddha statues. On both sides of the arch, there are two Buddhas sitting opposite each other on the Bodhi tree, and there is a relief sculpture of flying into the sky on the top, with beautiful lines.
