Introduction to the Ancient Stone Buddha Temple: The Yungang Temple in front of the existing Cave 5 and 6 was built by Tong Yangliang, the governor in the eighth year of Shunzhi in the Qing Dynasty, and was repaired by later generations. The remaining remains include the mountain gate, Tianwang Hall, wing rooms, stone lions and bell and drum towers. The old inscription on the mountain gate is: "Ancient Stone Buddha Temple", and two characters are embedded on each wall, "薹头" on the left and "Nianfo" on the right. The left door opening of Tianwang Hall is inscribed "Big Buddha Temple", and the right door opening is inscribed "Stone Buddha Temple".
