The Changpu River originates from the sea in the Xiyuan of the Imperial City, flows in front of Tiananmen Square, and then flows eastward along the north side of the southern wall of the Imperial City. Changpu River Park starts from the Working People's Cultural Palace in the west, to Nanheyan Street in the east, to Feilongqiao Hutong and Nanwanzi Hutong in the north, to the north red wall of East Chang'an Street in the south, with a total length of about 510 meters, a total planned area of ​​3.8 hectares, and planned green space. and water surface area of ​​2.02 hectares. Changpu River Park is an urban garden rich in classical style, connected to the Jinshui River in front of Tiananmen Square. Four pedestrian bridges of different shapes span the river. 1,000 kilograms of koi and red fish are put into the river. More than 60 ancient trees are preserved along the river, and a large number of new flowers, plants and trees are planted. The greening rate of the entire park reaches 65%. It forms a small and exquisite Chinese-style garden.
