Introduction to the Stone Sutra Pagoda: The Stone Sutra Pagoda was built in the fifth year of Yong'an in the Southern Song Dynasty by the monk Master Huilian. The tower is more than three feet high, octagonal, divided into three floors, and is entirely made of bluestone. On the pagoda is engraved a Buddhist sutra with ten thousand lines of Shuleng mantra on the top of the Buddha, written by Lu Zhuo, a native of Hongdong. There are 10 volumes in the Surangama Sutra. The Surangama Mantra is a divine mantra in the Surangama Sutra, with 427 sentences and a total of 2,620 words. Inside are the Wuhui, which are the names of Buddhist gods. They are the morning prayers that Buddhist monks must recite every day.
