The layout of residential buildings is rigorous, with clear axes, symmetry, clear priorities, undulating outlines, closed exteriors, and deep courtyards. The exquisite wood carvings, brick carvings and stone carvings, coupled with the paper-cut window grilles with a strong local flavor, are lifelike and vivid, embodying the historical and cultural characteristics of the Han nation from the 14th to the 19th century AD.
