Macaque introduction: Macaque (scientific name: Macaca mulatta), Macaca genus Macaca species. It is the most common monkey in Asia, also known as hozen, yellow monkey, rhesus monkey and Guangxi monkey. Macaques live a semi-arboreal life, mostly in dense forests or sparse forests on rocky mountain cliffs, valleys beside streams and river banks, and live in groups. Distributed in parts of Southwest, South China, Central China, East China, North China and Northwest China. Macaques are highly adaptable, easy to domesticate and breed, and are physiologically close to humans.
