Introduction to the Hundred Dragon Wall: There are 108 flying dragons engraved on the Hundred Dragon Wall. Legend has it that in the third year of Wude in the Tang Dynasty (620), King Li Shimin of Qin fought against Song Jingang, the subordinate of Dingyang Khan Liu Wuzhou, at Dusuoyuan in Queshu Valley. At the time of defeat, 108 heroes in white clothes and armor appeared to help the Tang army defeat Song Jingang. When Li Shimin was about to express his gratitude, the 108 heroes turned into white dragons and flew towards Mianshan. Later Emperor Taizong of the later Tang Dynasty built a hundred dragon walls to reflect the protection of the thunder god at that time. What I see now is a later revision.
