Introduction to the courtyard: Li Daorong Courtyard was built in 1935. It enters the four directions and faces the south. The gatehouse of the courtyard is exquisitely carved. In addition to being decorated with traditional auspicious patterns, two sentences from "Zhu Xi's Family Instructions" are also specially engraved on both sides of the gate: "One porridge and one meal should be thought of where they came from, half silk and half silk." "Lui Heng Nian is struggling with material resources" and "Although our ancestors are far away, we cannot offer sacrifices sparsely, and our descendants, even though they are ignorant, must read the scriptures." Entering the thick and heavily locked courtyard door, the east wing is Li Daorong's bedroom. The local living custom is to use an earthen kang as a bunk bed, with a wooden screen partition along the edge of the kang, and a small door in the middle to allow people to get on and off the kang bunk. There is also a cloth curtain on the kang door. There is a wooden ladder next to the kang that leads to the two-story pavilion. There is a small and unique balcony on the pavilion near the courtyard, which can not only dry clothes, enjoy the cool air, but also increase lighting. The gables of the east wing of the courtyard are all hollow walls, more than 20 meters long, which can not only hide things and people, but also increase the function of the east room to be warm in winter and cool in summer.
