Introduction to the Li Family Courtyard: The Li Family Courtyard was the residence of Li Ziyong, the richest man in southern Shanxi from the Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China. It was first built in the Daoguang period of the Qing Dynasty. The compound originally had 20 groups of courtyards and 280 houses, and now there are 11 groups of courtyards and 146 houses.
