Introduction to Weiping Fort: Weiping Fort is located 50 miles southwest of Youyu County. It was built in the 45th year of Jiajing in the Ming Dynasty (1566). The stone fort has a circumference of 1.4 miles and a parapet of 3 feet and 7 feet; Wanli In the twenty-third year (1595), another earth castle was built and connected to the old castle.
Now Weiping Fort is basically complete. The corner platform and wall platform (horse face) remain, the stone surface and wall are peeled off, and the remains of the south gate are obvious. The old castle has four complete walls, with a wall height of 10 to 12 meters, a top width of 4 to 5 meters, and a bottom width of 7 to 8 meters. There are 3 to 5 meters of irregular stone surface remaining on the north wall. The four walls of the new castle are also relatively complete, with a wall height of 9 to 11 meters, a top width of 2 to 4 meters, and a bottom width of 7 to 8 meters. The remains of the east gate are obvious. The west wall is connected to the old fort. There was an original door, but a 20-30 meter wide gap has been created for pedestrians and vehicles to walk.
