The houses and streets in the city still maintain their original appearance, and most of the local residents are descendants of "car households" from the Ming and Qing dynasties. The east gate is a brick door opening with a platform above. The cave door is engraved with the five great universes of "Zhili Niangziguan". The summer resort on Mianshan Mountain is said to have been built by Princess Pingyang of the Tang Dynasty. Outside the pass is the winding Yan-Zhao Ancient Road.
