Yunnan Lashihai is the first nature reserve named after "wetland" in Yunnan Province. It is located in the middle of Lashiba, 10 kilometers west of Lijiang County. The Lashi Sea was originally part of the paleogeosyncline in northwest Yunnan. It was folded and uplifted into land during the Yanshan Movement in the Mesozoic Era, and became a quasi-plain by the Miocene. With the development of the orogeny of the Hengduan Mountains, from the end of the Pliocene to the beginning of the Pleistocene, this The peneplain is divided into three plateau mountain basins with relative height differences of 100 to 200 meters, namely Lashiba, Lijiang Dam and Qiheba. Lashi Dam is the highest dam among them. There is still a piece of water in the dam, which is called Lashi Sea, with an altitude of 2437 meters. Lashi's seaside has beautiful mountains and clear waters, dense forests, prosperous flowers and plants, and is quiet and beautiful. The mirror-like surface of the lake reflects the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. Overwintering waterbirds rest peacefully or soar among the blue sky and white clouds, creating a unique atmosphere of the plateau wetlands.Attractions distribution:
Lashihai is the habitat of migratory birds. There are more than 80 kinds of migratory birds that winter or rest here every year, ranking the highest in northwest Yunnan. There are 57 species of birds in the wetland, and about 30,000 birds come here to overwinter every year. Among them, 9 species are endemic to rare and endangered species, including the bar-headed goose, a unique bird of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, the national first-level protected bird Chinese Merganser, Black-necked Crane, Black Crane, etc. Therefore, the provincial government officially approved the establishment of the Yunnan Lijiang Lashihai Plateau Wetland Nature Reserve in June 1998, including 4 areas including Lashihai, Wenhai, Jizi Reservoir, and Wenbi Reservoir, with a total area of 6,523 hectares, the main part of which is Lashihai. Accommodation: The fishing village in Lashihaihaidong can provide simple accommodation, or you can return to Lijiang Old Town for accommodation.

How to get there:
Chartered car: Xiali, the one-way price to Lashihai is 15 yuan (30 yuan with pick-up included), (20 yuan chartered car) requires to go to Lashi Hainan or Haibei, Haibei is connected to

Passenger bus: Most vans going to Lashihai are concentrated at the Zhongyi Farmers Market in Lijiang Old Town. It costs 5 yuan to Hainan and 4 yuan to Haibei.
Bicycle: Cycling from Lijiang Old Town to Lashihai, about an hour's drive.
Horse riding: There are many horse farms in Lashihai where you can ride horses, but the price is relatively high, between 100 and 120 yuan.
