Introduction to the Houchang Meeting Site: The Houchang Meeting Site is located in Xiasi Songjiawan, 1 km west of Caotang Town (Huchang). It was originally the Song family's residence built in the first year of the Republic of China (1912).
The venue is surrounded by green brick walls, about 7 meters high. It has 5 main halls, complete wing rooms and lower halls, and a stone-inlaid patio. It is a standard courtyard house, commonly known as a "Yi Yi Yin" house. On the left side of the wall, there is a fortress, a stable, and a garden behind the main hall. On the right side of the barrel wall, there is a bamboo forest, and there are towering ancient trees in the back mountain. In 1948, the Song family dismantled and sold the "One Seal" house due to industrial disputes. The foundation of the house was converted into farmland. Today, only the remaining bricks and tiles are scattered in the soil.
