Introduction to Shiqian Old Street: Shiqian Old Street is a residential street in Fucheng. It is a straight street with a total length of 1.7 kilometers and a width of about 8 meters. The whole street is composed of four small streets: Xingshi Street, Xinmin Street, Minzhu Street and Hepingqiao Street. In the past, there were buildings with wooden structures and green tile roofs on both sides of the street. Most residents had two rooms, one as a main house and the other as a store. Today, most residents on the street still retain this style.
There are stone alleys on both sides of the old street. One end of the stone alley leads to Longchuan River and the other end leads to Fucheng. Many stone alleys are well preserved, such as Jiangjia Alley, Caojia Alley, Sandaoguai Alley, Indigo Alley. City back streets and so on. The alley was formed in the Qing Dynasty. It is paved with stone slabs and is about 300 meters long and 3 meters wide. Ancient dwellings are neatly lined up on both sides. The streets and alleys are clean and tidy. In the evening, every house is brightly lit. Residents set up a few small square tables at the door of their homes, playing chess, drinking tea, or doing household chores, etc., showing a scene of living and working in peace and contentment.
