Arrow Town is a famous gold mining town. In the early 19th century, a large number of workers came here to hunt for gold, including Chinese who traveled thousands of miles from Guangdong, the Pearl River Delta and other places to hunt for treasure. Arrowtown is also one of the most picturesque residential areas in New Zealand. It is located on the banks of the Arrow River, 21 kilometers away from Queenstown. Best time to visit:
The most beautiful time in Arrowtown is every autumn. At the end of April and the beginning of May, golden leaves covered the branches, and the entire mountaintop was golden. This time of year is also the festival of Arrowtown’s annual Autumn Carnival. Everyone flocks to the streets to celebrate, and the joyful atmosphere is everywhere.

How to get there:
Self-driving route: Start from Queenstown and drive along Highway 6 in the direction of Wanaka, turn left at the intersection of Amisfield Winery (there is an icon prompt), and go straight along McDonnell Road to the end of Arrowtown. You can also start from Queenstown, drive along Gorge Road towards Arthurs Point, pass Millbrook Golf Resort, turn left at the fork of Malaghans Road and McDonnell Road, and go straight to Arrowtown.
Bus: Take Connectabus No. 11 from Queenstown and transfer to No. 10 at Frankton Bus Shelter. Bus No. 11 from Queenstown runs every 15 minutes, and bus No. 10 from Frankton Bus Shelter to Arrowtown runs every hour.
