Introduction to the release of leatherback turtles in Cangnan: Leatherback turtles are widely distributed in the warm water areas of the Atlantic, Indian and Pacific oceans. They are mainly distributed along the southern coast of my country and are national second-level protected aquatic wild animals. In the summer of 2008, the Yanting fishing boat captured this one-meter-long leatherback turtle weighing more than 300 kilograms in the East China Sea. After expert identification, it was released in the waters near Qianyu Island that night.
