Scenic spot introduction:

Chuanshi Island is the third largest island in the estuary of the Minjiang River in Fujian. It is only 14.6 nautical miles away from the Matsu Islands to the east and is surrounded by the sea. Because it looks like a banana, it is also called Bajiao Island. The island has an area of only 3.8 square kilometers and is administratively just a village, but its geographical location is extremely important. It is located at the junction of the fresh water of the Min River and the sea water of the East China Sea. It is a vital part of the throat of the Min River Estuary to the sea. It has been a battleground for military strategists since ancient times. In the Ming Dynasty, Zheng He anchored here many times when he led his fleet to the Western Ocean.
