Introduction to the Astana Ancient Tombs: The Astana Ancient Tombs were a quiet place where residents of the old city of Gaochang sought peace after death. They are piled up in the Gobi sand dunes with a radius of more than 10 kilometers. There are densely packed ancient tombs. It is called by today's scholars as "the living historical archives of Gaochang and the underground museum of the Turpan region."
