Scenic spot introduction:

Shaoxing Zhou Enlai Memorial Hall is the residence of Zhou Enlai's ancestors. The ancestral home is located at the east end of Labor Road in Shaoxing City. It was built in the Hongwu period of the Ming Dynasty and was originally called Xiyang Hall. In the 37th year of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty (1698), Zhou Maozhang's wife Wang lived to be a hundred years old. The governor of Zhejiang specially gave a plaque to "The Gate of Centenary Mother" to express his congratulations, so it is also called "Centenary Hall". Later, Zhou Enlai's grandfather took office in Jiangsu and moved to Huai'an, leaving here. From March 29 to 31, 1939, Zhou Enlai returned to his ancestral home, where he received relatives, friends and people from all walks of life, delivered an anti-Japanese speech, held a workers' symposium, and wrote many inscriptions to patriots, relatives and friends, pointing out a bright future and calling for unity. The anti-Japanese war encouraged young people to study, which greatly inspired the people in their hometown to resist Japan and save the country, and filled in the Zhou family genealogy. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Zhou Enlai was not allowed to repair his ancestral home. In 1998, the 100th anniversary of the birth of Comrade Zhou Enlai, the Shaoxing government restored Zhou Enlai's ancestral home and it is now open to the public as the Zhou Enlai Memorial Hall.

Zhou Enlai's ancestral residence is a brick bungalow with the architectural style of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). It faces north and faces south. It is three rooms wide and three rooms deep. Every two rooms are separated by a bright hall, including the main door, hall, main room (living room) , west wing) and other residential buildings. The memorial hall includes a viewing hall with a 3-meter-high white marble statue of Zhou Enlai in military uniform, a display of Zhou Enlai and his hometown, and a display of Zhou Enlai's relics.
