Introduction to the Theater of Dionysos: The Theater of Dionysos is located in the southeast of the Acropolis and is connected to the Odeon of Herodes Atticus by a set of stone corridors. The theater was built in 600 BC and can accommodate 15,000 people. In Greek mythology, Dionysus is the god of wine and drama, so the Dionysus Festival is held here every four years.
