Introduction to Mykonos Church: Mykonos is not a large island, but there are more than 300 small churches. Most of them are local residents who want to repay the gods for blessing their husbands and sons who return to the island safely after going fishing or doing business. When built, they were painted white like other churches in the Aegean Islands. The oldest one was built in the 16th century AD. The church under the blue sky has become the most common scenery in postcards.
