Introduction to the Peace Bell: There is a huge Peace Bell outside the "Pyramid". On the one hand, it is intended to commemorate those who died in the riots, and on the other hand, it also expresses the Albanian people's desire for permanent peace. The bell was cast from thousands of melted down bullet casings collected by schoolchildren in the northwestern city of Shkodra during riots in 1997.
