Introduction to the Mosque of Moses Abu Abbas: The Mosque of Moses Abu Abbas is the largest and most beautiful mosque in Alexandria. It was built in 1775. Moshe Abu Abbas was an Islamic scholar who was born in Spain during the Arab Empire. He later came to Alexandria and built this mosque. The mosque was rebuilt in 1943, incorporating Andalusian Islamic architectural style, adding four domes and a towering minaret. The interior of the mosque has a colonnade supported by eight granite columns.
