Introduction to Xian Xinghai Monument: Erected at the intersection of Xian Xinghai Street and Gagarin Street. The monument is shaped like a lotus, with lotus leaves stacked on the lower part of the monument and lotus blossoms on the upper part. Lotus is pure and elegant, symbolizing oriental culture. The inscription engraved in three languages: Chinese, Kazakh and Russian reads: "I would like to name this street Xian Xinghai Street after Xian Xinghai, an outstanding Chinese composer and messenger of friendship and cultural exchanges between China and Kazakhstan." Also engraved on the monument are Xian Xinghai's resume and the first line of his musical score "Armangeld", a symphonic poem praising Kazakh national heroes.
