Introduction to the Ruvanvalier Stupa: The Rufanvalier Stupa is 110 meters high, with a base diameter of 96 meters. It stands on a platform with a three-layer platform. The lower end of the tower is a brick cube. The central circular stone column has a conical upper part and a spire with gold-plated ornaments. It towers over the cube. It is a model of the Sinhalese national architectural style. Its scale is not only far greater than that of all Buddhist temples on the island. The pagoda was also the largest pagoda of this type in various Buddhist countries at that time, so it was also called the Big Pagoda. Precious cultural relics such as an ivory nude female statue made in the 2nd century AD, a pottery relic box, jewelry, and Buddhist beads were discovered in the pagoda.
