Introduction to Ma family motto: It is located on the wooden screen door inside the second gate of Zhong District Middle Road. It was written by Ma Jizhang in official script. Ma took the 37th hexagram of the Book of Changes - "Family Hexagram" as his family motto. The general idea is: women are in charge inside, men are in charge outside, old and young are in order. Parents must have strict requirements on their family members without breaking the law. The whole family must be honest and dignified, perform their duties and their own way, live in harmony, and the world will be stable. It embodies Confucian educational thought. Engraved in the 13th year of Guangxu (1887).
