Introduction to Arlington House: The cemetery was once the home and estate of Anna, the great-granddaughter of the first President of the United States, Anna Washington, and her husband, Robert E. Lee. On the central hill, there is a large mansion covering an area of 1.2 hectares, which is the Curtis Lee Mansion, also known as "Arlington House". Standing by the window in the house, you can overlook the entire cemetery and the Potomac River. This temple, modeled after the Temple of Cysus in Athens, is one of the most outstanding Greek Renaissance buildings in the United States and was designed by the British architect George Hadfield. In 1955, relevant authorities renovated and decorated the mansion that had been used for other purposes for a long time, restoring it to its pre-Civil War appearance and turning it into a National Memorial Center. It is now under the jurisdiction of the National Park Service for the public to visit.
