Introduction to Waitomo Glowworm Caves: Waitomo Glowworm Caves (Waitmo Caves) is located near Te Kuiti, 168 kilometers south of Auckland. It is a lime cave in the mountains of the western North Island of New Zealand and is also a famous scenic spot in New Zealand. The Glowworm Caves are mainly composed of three large caves with their own characteristics, namely Waitomoying Fireworm Cave, Ruakul Cave and Alanui Cave. The limestone layers within it form a series of huge cave systems, famous for their stalactites, stalagmites and glow worms.
