Manwan Hydropower Station Dam Introduction: Manwan Hydropower Station is the first million-kilowatt hydropower station developed by the hydropower base on the main stream of Lancang River. It is located in Manwan Town in the middle reaches of the Lancang River in Yunnan Province, China, 450 kilometers away from Kunming. The upstream is Xiaowan Hydropower Station, and the downstream is Dachaoshan Hydropower Station. The dam site is located in the lower section of the reverse "S"-shaped sharp bend. The river valley is narrow, with a bottom width of only more than 60 meters. At an elevation of 1,000 meters, it is about 420 meters wide. The mountain on the left bank is thin, facing the river on three sides, with a uniform slope of about 40°. The mountain on the right bank is thick, with a terrain slope of 20° to 35°.
