Introduction to the Main Hall: The Main Hall of Baoguo Temple is the oldest existing wooden building in the south of the Yangtze River. It is three rooms wide (11.91 meters) and three rooms deep (13.35 meters). It is a longitudinal rectangle. The building structure is made of The ingenious connection between the brackets and the precise mortise and tenon technology firmly combine the various components of the building together without a single iron nail, supporting the weight of the entire palace roof of more than 50 tons. On the ceiling of the front trough of the main hall, three hollow caissons are cleverly arranged to connect organically with the overall structure. The ceiling and caissons cover the beams of the main hall, making them difficult to see below, so it is called the "Beamless Hall". In addition to its unique architectural style, the Wuliang Hall is also magical in that it is not eaten by insects, birds do not enter, spiders do not spin webs, and dust does not cling to the beams.
