Introduction to Youshui: Youshui-Lvdongshan Scenic Area is located in the border area of ​​Baojing, Guzhang and Jishou, with a total length of 427 kilometers. It originates from Xuanen County, Hubei Province, then flows into the Yuanjiang River and finally flows into Dongting Lake. Before the 1960s, Youshui was the main channel for material exchange and cultural transmission between Western Hunan and the outside world. This is how the Youshui boatmen's chants, which have strong regional characteristics and musical quality and are mixed with shouts, were born.
