Introduction to Plaza de Espanya: Famous for the largest fountain in Europe and the second largest fountain in the world, Plaça d`Espanya is the largest square in Barcelona and was built for the 1929 World Expo. It is the intersection of several main roads. There are two Venetian towers on the square, behind them is the Fair (Fira de Barcelona), and continuing on is the National Palace located on the top of the hill.
