Plaça Reial Introduction: Plaça Reial is adjacent to La Rambla and has many restaurants and some of the city's most famous clubs. The square is also known for its many outdoor areas and is a popular gathering place during the summer, such as in September when open-air concerts are held during La Mercè. The street lights on the square were designed by Antoni Gaudí.
