Introduction to Saint-Croix Hospital: Hospital de la Sta. Creu I Sant Pau (Hospital de la Sta. Creu I Sant Pau) is the work of architects Mondarnel and his son. It was included in the World Cultural Heritage List in 1997. This large-scale hospital is composed of small buildings decorated with colorful mosaics. 48 wards are connected to each other underground. The buildings are dotted with gardens and green spaces, creating an elegant healing environment for patients. There is a steeple at the top of the entrance building, and you can have a panoramic view of the entire hospital from the top of the tower. The building and courtyard are decorated with mosaics of historical themes and sculptures by Paolo Calvary, and the interior staircases and ceilings are inspired by Islamic art.
