Introduction to the August 1st Nanchang Uprising Memorial Tower: The August 1st Nanchang Uprising Memorial Tower is the landmark building of the square, 53.6 meters high, and consists of four parts: the platform base, the tower base, the tower body, and the tower top. The memorial tower was completed on January 8, 1979. It is a rectangular parallelepiped. On the north side, there are nine gilt copper characters "August 1st Nanchang Uprising Memorial Tower" inscribed by Marshal Ye Jianying. The top of the tower is made of upright granite carved rifles and red flowers. It consists of the August 1st military flag collaged with granite.
