The exhibition is divided into two parts. The first part mainly focuses on the works of famous calligraphers who lived in Beijing during the Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties, or had inextricable connections with Beijing. The second part displays the calligraphy of the royal family with its unique artistic style. There are 53 pieces of cultural relics on display, including the jade version of "Thirteen Lines of Luo Shen Fu" in regular script presented by the King of Jin Dynasty, the volume of "Three Odes of Plum Blossoms" in cursive script by Huang Tingjian of Song Dynasty, the volume of "Jinxue Jie" in cursive script of Xian Yushu of Yuan Dynasty, and the volume of "Jinxue Jie" in cursive script of Zheng Xie of Qing Dynasty. "Hand-reading of the Five Classics" in running script, as well as precious works by emperors such as Kangxi and Qianlong.
