Introduction to Chang'an Street: The name of Chang'an Street comes from the capital city of the prosperous Tang Dynasty - "Chang'an" (today's Xi'an, Shaanxi Province), which means long-term peace and stability. Because this street is as straight as an arrow and ends as far as the eye can see, people describe it as a ten-mile street. In fact, the total length from Dongdan to Xidan is only 4 kilometers, but it is the east-west axis of the city. It runs 38 kilometers from Bali Bridge (Yongtong Bridge) in Tongzhou District in the east and Shijingshan in the west. There are a series of streets connected to it in the east and west. Thus, the city center, urban area and new urban area are integrated into one.
