Introduction to the Fourth Generation Stone: Taihu Stone is abundant in the Taihu Lake area of Jiangsu Province. Chinese craftsmen have used it for garden landscaping since the Song Dynasty. The North Taihu Stone in the Chinese Culture Park is from Fei County, Linyi Prefecture, Shandong Province. A family with four generations under one roof spent three years digging to find it, so it is also called the "Fourth Generation Stone".
The fourth generation stone weighs more than 50 tons, is magnificent and elegant in shape, and is integrated; it has the characteristics of thin, wrinkled, leaky and transparent. Among the existing gardens in Beijing, the only North Taihu stone that can rival it is the prodigal stone (Qingzhixiu) in front of the Leshou Hall in the Summer Palace.
