Introduction to the Heavenly Ladder Xiuxian Cave: The Heavenly Ladder has a steep slope, with a total of 53 steps, also known as the "Fifty-Three Steps", which is a metaphor for "the fifty-three steps of knowledge will lead to good results." There is a Xiuxian Cave at the top of the ladder, facing east and west. There was an original door at the entrance of the cave. The traces of the door frame on the stone wall are still clear. According to legend, Zhongli of the Han Dynasty practiced immortality here after he attained Taoism.
