Introduction to Yonghe Palace: One of the six eastern palaces, originally named Yong'an Palace, it was the residence of concubines during the Ming and Qing dynasties. Concubine Tian Guifei of Emperor Chongzhen of the Ming Dynasty, Concubine De of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty (Empress Dowager Renshou, mother of Emperor Yongzheng), Concubine Jing of Emperor Daoguang (mother of Yixin) and Concubine Jin of Emperor Guangxu once lived in this palace.
