Introduction to the stele pavilion of the Shouhuang Palace: On the east and west sides of the platform of the Shouhuang Palace, there is a tall stele pavilion with double eaves and octagonal spires built symmetrically. The stele pavilion is a yellow glazed tube tile with double eaves and octagonal spires. The upper eaves are heavily raised with seven brackets and the lower eaves are single with five brackets, surrounded by stone barriers. The stele pavilions were both built in the seventeenth year of Qianlong's reign (1752). Each of the two pavilions has a huge bluestone turtle carrying the stele. Legend has it that the turtle is the sixth son of the Dragon King.
