Introduction to Yu'er Hutong: Located in Yu'er Hutong on the west side of the road opposite Dong Mianmian Hutong, the "Beijing Artists Association" in No. 13 Road North was once the residence of Qi Baishi, the master of traditional Chinese painting. It was originally the home of the Qing Dynasty. It was the private residence of a minister in charge of the government. After liberation, the Ministry of Culture bought it and Mr. Qi Baishi lived in it. But not long after the old man lived there, he moved to Kuache Hutong in Xicheng. Therefore, Qi Baishi’s former residence is now mostly referred to as Kuache Hutong.
